The tour began at dusk, when shadows stretch like forgotten stories. Our guide spoke in riddles, pointed at rocks that looked like sleeping figures, and warned us not to step on certain patches of sand — "not unless you want them to follow you home." The tide pulled away from the moon

Not all beaches are for sunbathing and swimming. Some… are for remembering .

I don't know how to explain this without sounding like I've lost my mind. But here goes.
