In a technical sense, "360 Biology" refers to the integration of multiple scales, disciplines, and perspectives to understand an organism or process completely. It is the scientific equivalent of walking around a sculpture rather than just looking at a photograph of it.
When most of us think back to biology class, we remember flat diagrams in a textbook: the cross-section of a leaf, the neat circle of the Krebs cycle, or a cell that looks like a fried egg with a nucleus in the middle. 360 biology
