Welcome to —the idea that to truly understand living systems, we cannot look at them from just one angle. We have to wrap our heads (and our microscopes) all the way around them. What is 360 Biology? In a technical sense, "360 Biology" refers to the integration of multiple scales, disciplines, and perspectives to understand an organism or process completely. It is the scientific equivalent of walking around a sculpture rather than just looking at a photograph of it.

When most of us think back to biology class, we remember flat diagrams in a textbook: the cross-section of a leaf, the neat circle of the Krebs cycle, or a cell that looks like a fried egg with a nucleus in the middle. 360 biology
