Let’s be honest— Grand Theft Auto IV was never a model of optimization. Even when it launched back in 2008, it brought high-end gaming PCs to their knees. Fast forward to today, and while modern hardware can brute-force its way through Liberty City, not everyone has an RTX-powered beast.

Liberty City might look like it’s built from cardboard and regret, but hey—at least you can actually play it.

(Insert before/after images here. The “before” shows normal GTA IV visuals. The “after” looks like a minimalist indie game—flat textures, no shadows, geometric shapes driving down gray roads.)

Stay tuned for next week: “GTA 4 – Turning graphics down so low, pedestrians become 2D sprites.”

Maybe you’re gaming on an old laptop. Maybe you’re using a low-spec work PC during your lunch break. Or maybe you just want to see how far you can push (or pull back) the visuals for maximum frames. That’s where the comes in.
