It’s been a few months since the Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered landed on PS5 and PC, bringing the Forbidden West engine’s visual fidelity to the 2017 classic. But even the most beautiful machines need a tune-up.

This week, developer Nixxes Software rolled out (followed by a quick hotfix to 1.0.38.0 ), and while it won’t add any new quests or weapons, it might be the most important patch for the Remastered edition yet. Let’s break down what’s fixed, what’s improved, and why you should fire up the game again. What’s New in 1.0.37.0? The headline? Stability. Players have reported sporadic crashes during the "The Mountain That Fell" quest (late-game, no spoilers) and when rapidly fast-traveling between biomes. This patch directly targets those memory-leak issues, particularly on the PS5 and high-end PC rigs with ray tracing enabled.
