This album is a cold, clinical takedown of addiction—to pills, social media, and money. The cover art is a cartoonish anti-drug PSA. The rapping is sharp (“1985” predicts the downfall of mumble rap), but the project is musically sparse (often just one looped melody). Its biggest flaw is a lack of warmth.
