If you’ve been in the Mega Man X fan community for more than five minutes, you’ve heard the legend. Mega Man X: Corrupted (the single-player fangame by JKB Games) has been in development for over a decade, promising a massive, open-ended, Zero-style world for X to explore.

So where did "Online" come from? Mega Man X: Corrupted Online is not made by JKB Games. It is a separate, fan-driven project created by a different team (often credited under "MMXCorruptedOnline" or similar handles) that uses the assets, sprites, and mechanics from JKB’s game to create a multiplayer experience.

If you dream of slashing through Mavericks with a friend in Corrupted ’s gorgeous world, this mod gives you a small, unstable taste. But if you want the full, open-ended adventure JKB Games has been building for years, you still need to wait (patiently) for the actual Mega Man X: Corrupted .
