We have all been chasing that ghostly emerald smudge across the cold January sky. Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) presented a unique challenge: a distinct ion tail, a dusty anti-tail, and rapid motion relative to the background stars. Traditional star alignment would either stretch the comet into a streak or turn the stars into messy worms.
