Pommeke decided to cross the garden – barefoot. The sandbox, usually a cool kingdom of castles and trucks, had turned into a golden, blazing desert after three days of heatwave. One tiny step… and Pommeke hopped right back! “Hete voetjes!” (Hot feet!)
