“Is it?” He grinned. “I think it’s the most real we’ve been in months.” Arjun looked up

Arjun stood up. “Maybe we need a new memory.” Their cottage had a skylight bathroom — white marble, a rain showerhead, and a small wooden stool. Arjun went in first, turning the water to warm. He lit two eucalyptus-scented candles and placed them on the ledge. The room filled with soft steam and the smell of rain-soaked earth from the open window.
