The introduction of the BCR (Black Communist Rebellion) adds a vital, long-overdue perspective on resistance, led by the fierce Elena (Tzi Ma) and Bell Mallory (Frances Turner). Her arc, which involves her becoming a quasi-mystical figure who can literally see into alternate timelines, feels like a different show—one far less interesting than the political thriller we signed up for.
